Why are there price ranges instead of fixed prices?
Several factors affect the final price of any locksmith service:
- Lock brand and type: A standard Kwikset lock costs less to work with than a high-security Medeco or Mul-T-Lock. Smart locks add programming time.
- Time of day: After-hours calls (outside Mon–Fri 9am–5pm) carry a small $25 surcharge — always disclosed before dispatch.
- Travel distance: While we cover the full DMV, calls at the edge of our service area may include a small distance adjustment.
- Vehicle make/model: Luxury and newer vehicles with advanced security systems require more time and specialized equipment for key programming.
- Complexity: A high-security deadbolt installation on a new door with no existing prep takes more time than swapping out a standard lock.
We provide the exact price before any work begins. You approve it, then we start. Always.
Is there a service call / dispatch fee?
Yes. A service call fee covers the cost of dispatching a licensed technician to your location and is included in most quoted prices. This fee is typically $35–$65 depending on distance and time of day. It is always disclosed before we confirm your appointment — never added as a surprise after the job.
For emergency dispatch (24/7), the service call fee is included in the total quote we give you when you call.
Are locksmith prices higher at night or on weekends?
We charge a flat $25 after-hours surcharge for calls made outside of Mon–Fri 9am–5pm — including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is always disclosed immediately when you call, before we dispatch.
We keep this surcharge low because we believe emergencies don't follow a schedule. You should never be price-gouged for needing help at 2 AM.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Zelle, Venmo, and Apple Pay. Payment is collected after the job is completed and you are satisfied.
Commercial clients and property management accounts may arrange invoiced billing. Contact us to set up a net-30 commercial account.
